The short version: preview free, pay for what you download or subscribe to, use the data within its open licence, and do not resell it as your own or use it to target individuals.
DataScoop provides access to public datasets as downloads, an API and an MCP server. Free access is limited (25 rows per query). A one-off export gives you every row matching one filter set, for the price shown at checkout. A Pro subscription gives unlimited rows, the full API and MCP for as long as it is active; cancel anytime from the billing portal and access continues to the end of the paid period.
The underlying data is published by government bodies under open licences (listed on /licences), which permit commercial reuse with attribution. You may use, analyse and republish what you download provided you keep the attribution that accompanies it. You may not represent the data as your own original work, or use it to build lists that target individuals.
We take the data as published by the source and keep every record dated. Records can be out of date or contain errors at source; check the official record before relying on it for a decision with legal, financial or safety consequences. The service is provided as is, without warranty.
Keys are personal to you or your organisation. Do not share keys, scrape the site, or place unreasonable load on the API. We may suspend keys that do.
If a one-off export is not what you previewed, or a download fails, email hello@datascoop.io within 14 days and we will fix it or refund it.
To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
